Whitneyville Armory, Spur Trigger Revolver, CAL: 22, MFG: 1871-79, SN: 4846, Single Action Revolver, 3 1/4'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked ''WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT U.S.A.''. The SN is stamped on the butt of the pistol. The two-piece walnut ''bird head'' grips are excellent, with minor handling marks & surface scrapes. The nickel finish on the receiver is retained at 30%, with worn areas exposing the brass frame. The metal blue finish on the barrel & cylinder has worn mostly gray, with a spotty thin brown patina. Bore is very good, still bright, with light pitting. The barrel holds a half-moon blade front sight & the back of the receiver has a small integrated groove. Action & cylinder timing appear to function properly. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 600
