French Counet-Genot Brevete, CAL: 9.6 mm??, MFG: 1863, SN: 284, Single Action Folding Trigger Revolver, 2 1/2'' barrel. The barrel rib is marked ''LOEVENARO A PARIS''. The left side of the frame has a three line stamp, marked ''COUNET-GENOT BREVETE 1863''. The left side of the barrel housing is marked ''380'' & the frame is marked with the SN. The original checkered wood grips are very good, with smoothing checkering, tiny nicks & dings. The metal finish has toned entirely to a brown patina, with some intermittent spotting. Bore is very good, with minor roughness. The barrel holds a half-moon front sight & integrated groove rear sight. Action & cylinder timing functions, but skips on a cylinder that needs some adjsutment &/or small repair. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 100 to 400
