Merwin & Hulbert, Small Frame Pocket Third Model, CAL: 32, MFG: 1880's -90's, SN: 11782, Double Action Folding Hammer Revolver, 3'' barrel. The two line address/patent dates are on the barrel rib, the caliber marking is on the left side of the frame, below the cylinder, & the SN is stamped on the butt as well as the back face of the cylinder. This example is marked .32 CAL. On the side of the frame. Merwin & Hulbert revolvers were manufactured by Hopkins & Allen Arms Company from the period 1880-1896. The checkered hard rubber grips are excellent, with only minor handling marks. The nickel finish is good, retained at around 75%, with numerous thin brush lines & areas of spotty loss toning to a brown patina. Bore is good, with visible rifling, light spotting & areas of roughness. The barrel rib holds a half-moon blade front sight & integrated rear groove sight. To remove the cylinder, you simply push the small lever in front of the cylinder. while the action is open, rotate barrel section to the right & pull the barrel/cylinder off. A unique pocket pistol for its time. Action & timing appear to function properly. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 500
