Winchester, Model 1873, Third variation, .38 WCF Cal., MFG. 1886, SN: 217220, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel, Full mag, The original wood stocks are excellent & solid. Wood finish is original with some minor handling marks, nicks & dings. The factory metal blue on barrel is 90% with a couple of minor areas of scratches or cleaned rust pit speckling. The receiver a full 85% of the original high luster blue, which is well above average. 75% coverage on the mag starting to tone a bit plum. The case-hardened lever, hammer & trigger shows wonderful muted remains of case-colors. Bore is excellent & bright. Fitted with a Lyman flip-up & adjustable tang peep sight, height adjusting buckhorn rear sight & standard front sight. Stock carries a sliding trapdoor crescent metal buttplate, with fading case-colors, Original dust cover is tight & slides smoothly. Action is tight & smooth. Comes with a Cody Factory Records Look-up Sheet confirming configuration & dates. A wonderful, high condition & collector's quality rifle.* Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 7000 to 1000
