Winchester Model 1873, Marked 22 SHORT, MFG: 1889, SN: 250422B, Lever Action Rifle, 24 3/8'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original straight grip wood stocks are very good. They appear to display the original finish, which has thinned & darkened with age & use. There are minor surface scrapes, scratches & contusions. The original metal finish on the barrel & tube has toned to brown patina, with 60% coverage. The receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray, with the balance having a thin brown patina. Bore is fair, very rough with some visible rifling remaining. Rifle is fitted with the original adjustable rear sight & small front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth, crescent metal buttplate. Plain trigger. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2000 to 3500
