Winchester, Model 1885 Low Wall Rifle, .32 WCF Cal., MFG. 1887, SN: 15339, Lever Action Single Shot Rifle, 28'' Octagon #1 marked barrel. The barrel length is a special order feature as standard was 26''. This rifle is also rare in that it has a panel sided receiver on a low wall & has the early squared block. The wood stocks are very good & solid, with the stock having the original finish & the forearm appearing to have been sanded & refinished. The metal is proud to the wood on the forend. Finish is very good & there are several minor contusions, handling marks & scratches. The forearm has the ebony inlay at tip & the # ''32'' stamped on the inside. The original metal blue finish on the barrel remains at 80%. The case-hardened receiver, block, lever, hammer & buttplate all display fantastic case-colors. Bore is very good, with spotty roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel carries the original adjustable rear & front sight. Metal crescent buttplate. The # ''1'' is stamped in front of the forend tip on the barrel. A great looking & nicely configured 1885 rifle. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 700 to 1200
