Winchester, Model 1885 Low Wall Rifle, MARKED .22 SHORT Cal., MFG. 1917, SN: 120198, Lever Action Single Shot Rifle, 24 3/4'' Full octagon #1 stamped barrel. The original wood stocks are excellent & solid, retaining the majority of the original factory finish. There are several minor contusions, handling marks & scratches. The forearm has the ebony inlay at tip. The original metal blue finish on the barrel remains at 85%, with some haze & speckling. The receiver has toned to a brown patina. Bore is very good. The rifle is fitted with a Marbles flip-up tang sight, while the barrel carries blank filled rear dovetail & small blade front sights. Metal crescent buttplate. The barrel under the forend is stamped ''22 R.F.'' for the caliber. A great little original single shot rimfire rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 700 to 1200
