FABULOUS Winchester, Model 1886 First model, 40-82 WCF, MFG. 1887 (Antique), SN: 10400, Lever Action Rifle, 28'' Half octagon/half round barrel, 1/2 Button mag. An early special order deluxe & case-hardened rifle. The original deluxe, checkered & pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, with virtually all the original finish. The stock has an ebony inlay, wonderful grain & just a few minor handling marks or scuffs. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 95%, with a few abrasions & spots of light pitting. Receiver, buttplate, lever, hammer & forend cap are all case-hardened, displaying strong & colorful case-colors. The sliding bolt retains a full 98% of its original bright blue, while loading gate retains about 95%. Fitted with an original adjustable rear sight & Marble's Sheard blade front sight. Bore is excellent. Winchester crescent metal buttplate. Comes with a Cody Winchester Factory Records Letter, which confirms production dates & the special order configuration. This excellent & high original condition deluxe rifle is extremely collectible as an early case-hardened antique rifle.* Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 15000 to 20000
