WONDERFUL Winchester, Model 1886, 45-70 WCF, MFG. 1894 (Antique), SN: 96167, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Half octagon/half round barrel, 1/2 Button mag. A special order deluxe & case-hardened rifle. Rare, special order, straight grip, ''Fancy Stock'' wood, but non-checkered. The stocks are excellent, with wonderful rippled grain & the majority of the original finish. The stock has some finish wear to the belly of the forend & there are several minor handling marks or scuffs. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 93%, with some light speckling. The receiver, lever, hammer & forend cap are all case-hardened, displaying muted case-colors. The sliding bolt retains a full 95% of its original bright blue, while loading gate retains about 85%. Fitted with an upgraded sight package of a Lyman flip-up tang, a two leaf folding rear & Lyman ivory bead front sight. Bore is excellent. Ordered with a Winchester rubber shotgun buttplate. Comes with a Cody Winchester Factory Records Letter, which confirms production dates & the special order configuration. This rare & high original condition, special order antique rifle is highly desirable amongst collectors.* Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 10000 to 14000
