SPECIAL ORDER Winchester Model 1894 Short Rifle, TAKE-DOWN, CAL: marked 30 WCF, MFG: 1902, SN: 137757, Lever Action Rifle, 22'' Round barrel, 3/4 mag. This rifle has several special order features as specified & confirmed in the accompanying Cody Winchester Factory Records Letter. Shorter 22'' barrel, 3/4 mag, take-down feature, special order sights, shotgun butt & screw eye with swivels. The straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid, displaying the original finish. The stock has darkened some with age & use. There are several small handling marks, light scratches & contusions, mostly present on the forend. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 95%, 90% on mag tube toning plum. The receiver has worn to a thin brown patina, with remnants of blue remaining in protected areas. The case-hardened lever & hammer still display muted case-colors. Bore is very good. Rifle carries special order sights of a ''climbing'' Lyman receiver sight, ''Flattop Sporting'' adjustable rear sight & ''Hunting'' half moon blade front sight, with ivory bead. Buttstock holds a widow's peak Winchester plastic shotgun buttplate. This is a fantastic short rifle with numerous special order features, which advances it collectibility.* FFL or C&R - Value: 4000 to 6000
