RARE Winchester Model 1894 SHORT RIFLE, CAL: marked 30 W.C.F., MFG: 1924, SN: 973415, Lever Action Rifle, 20'' Round barrel, Button mag. This special Short Rifle carries the factory shortend 20'' barrel & the correct factory Short Rifle forearm, which is 1'' shorter than the forearms on a standard 1894 rifle. The original straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid. The stocks have few minor contusions, scratches & scrapes to the finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel has toned to a plum/brown patina with 90% coverage, The finish on the receiver has worn thin & has flake loss to about 30%, the rest a gun metal gray. Bore is very good. Barrel carries an adjustable rear sight & an open silhouette front sight. Buttstock holds a smooth, crescent metal buttplate.
