Marlin, Model 1893 TAKE-DOWN .30-30 Cal. MFG. 1902, SN: 250099, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are very good & solid, as lightly sanded & re-oiled. There is very little wood loss, & several minor nicks, scratches & contusions. There is a small edge slice missing at the upper corner of the left wrist & an extra open sling hole in the belly of the stock. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 80%, 50% on mag & 30% on the receiver, with most of the blue remaining on the left side. There is some light rust speckling & spotting on the metal. There is also a small cut away slice of metal on the underside of the barrel ahead of the forend & a small notch in the mag in the same location, where a possible sling provision may have once been mounted. Mounted with a King adjustable rear sight, without the elevator, & blade front sight. Has two open factory holes on the upper from an absent tang sight. Bore is very good. Crescent metal buttplate. Single sling stud. Tight action. Nice looking old lever hunting rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
