Marlin, Ballard #3 Gallery, CAL: 22RF, MFG: 1889, SN: 29692, Single Shot Lever Action Falling Block Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel. The original straight grip wood stock is good & solid, despite multiple tight cracks at the wrist & a few more at the buttend. The stocks have an added layer of finish or varnish over the original finish, displaying numerous contusions, nicks & scratches. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 90%, toning to a brown patina, with small handling marks & light spotting. The receiver has toned to a mix of metal grey, with patches of brown patina. Bore is fair, with intermittent pitting. The upper tang has a flip-up sight, with large aperture disk, while the barrel holds a fixed notch rear sight & a flip-up globe front sight. Buttstock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
