German Stalking Rifle, CAL: 8.15x46, MFG: N/A, SN: 1371, Lever Action Falling Block Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel. The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock, with raised cheek & schnabel forend are excellent & solid. They displaying the original finish, with numerous contusions, scrapes & light scratches to the finish. There is a small gouge on the right side of the stock above the sling loop. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 85% overall. The case-hardened receiver display muted case-colors, with an aged patina & light spotting. Both sides of the receiver have ornamental engraving. Bore is excellent & bright, with strong rifling. The solid matted rib holds an adjustable rear sight & elevated blade front sight. The receiver holds a scope mount. Buttstock carries a grooved black plastic buttplate. Sling loops. According to the consigner, the shells are made from 30-30 brass, which is cut down, using 30-40 dies. A nice example of a German made hunting rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
