Holland & Holland, Rook Rifle, CAL: .22 Cal (Rechamber), MFG: 1880's, SN: 10065, Under lever break action single rifle, 23 7/8'' Octagon barrel. The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock & smooth forend are excellent, as refinished. The stock displays wonderful grain. There is a dowel in the left side of the wrist & one in the forend. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 70% toning gray/brown. The receiver has aged mostly gun metal gray with a thin brown patina. The receiver, upper tang, trigger guard, under lever & pistol grip cap all have ornamental hand engraving. Bore is excellent & bright. The matted barrel holds an express two leaf rear sight & small blade front sight. Ejectors. Buttstock carries a smooth metal buttplate. There is a gold tone inscription medallion in belly of stock. A wonderful & well built antique European rifle. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2000 to 3000
