Winchester, Model 70 Featherweight, CAL: 264 WIN MAG, MFG: 1962, SN: 556034, Bolt Action Rifle, 21 3/4'' barrel. This is a fairly rare Pre-64 rifle, as it is a first year of production of the 264 Win Mag featherweights. They were only produced for two years & therefore saw limited production. It is second rarest of the caliber offering among the Pre-64 featherweights. The original checkered & flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, but does displaying minor contusions, scrapes & flaking or thinning to the original finish. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 98%, with a couple minor spots of thinning. The original gray finish on the receiver rates 95%, while the floor plate has worn & faded to a gun metal gray. Bore is excellent. The receiver is factory tapped for scope mounts. The barrel holds a flip-up leaf rear sight & hooded blade front sight. Buttstock carries a Winchester ventilated red rubber recoil pad. Sling swivels. A collectible model 70 featherweight in a desirable caliber. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
