Remington, Model 600 Carbine, CAL: 308, MFG: 1964-68, SN: 17125, Bolt Action Rifle, 18 1/2'' barrel. The original press checkered, raised comb & flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with several small contusions, scrapes & small areas of flaking to the original finish. The metal blue finish rates 98% overall. Bore is very good, with some spotting. The ventilated rib holds an adjustable rear sight & an elevated blade front sight. Buttstock carries a Remington plastic buttplate. Dog leg bolt handle. The Remington 600 is a solid little gun, with it's most noticeable external feature being the vent rib & the best hidden features being the standard 2.2lb trigger & light 5.5lb overall weight, making this a perfect compact hunting rifle.
