Winchester, Model 1900, CAL: .22 SHORT& LONG, MFG: 1900-01, SN: NONE, Bolt Action Rifle, 18'' Round tapered barrel. This is the early variation without the model # stamped on barrel. The original wood stock is excellent, with excellent finish as cleaned or possibly lightly sanded & professionally refinished. There is a 2 3/4'' tight crack on the right side ahead of the bolt & a 3/4'' at the forend tip, along with several minor contusions & handling marks. The are two small nail type holes in the belly of the forend & another two in the belly of the stock that may have come from some sort of previous sling attachment. The metal blue finish has worn to a mix of gun metal gray & a thin brown patina. The bore is excellent & bright. Barrel carries a small fixed rear & small blade front sights. Buttstock carries no buttplate, which is correct for this model. An excellent little rifle & collectible. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
