Description

RARE Winchester, Model 67 SMOOTH BORE, 1st issue, S, L, LR Cal., MFG. 1934-36, SN: None, Take-down Bolt Action Rifle, 27'' Tapered round barrel, Sporting model, Marked SMOOTHBORE on left side of barrel. This is the early production variation with the slim, finger grooved stock forend & exposed take-down screw. The factory flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, having been lightly sanded & professionally refinished. The forend tip has a tightly repaired 3'' grain crack & a excellently done 1'' toe chip repair. The refinish is excellent, with very few tiny handling marks. The metal finish is 90%, toning gray/blue as it thins, with a couple small areas of light pitting. Bore is excellent. Mounted with original factory sights. Winchester plastic buttplate. Rare early smooth bore example, with an excellent appearance. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
