Midland Gun Co. Model: Custom Order Hammerless. CAL: .410. MFG: 1904-25 S/N: 2698. Break action SxS. Choke: Both Modified. 30'' Barrel. The original checkered & round knob pistol grip wood stock is excellent, as professionally refinished. The stocks display wonderful grain, with very minor contusions & light scratches. A blank silver inscription medallion is inlaid in the belly of the stock. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 80% overall. The case-hardened receiver retains approximately 50% of the original case-colors, with the rest toned to a even patina. The bottom receiver plate retains 50% blue. Left & right side of receiver is marked, ''MIDLAND GUN CO'', top of barrel rib is marked, ''MIDLAND GUN CO BIRMINGHAM & LONDON'', bottom of barrel rib is marked with S/N. Bottom of right barrel is marked, ''400'', ''10.2'', ''410-75-1200 BAP'', ''NITRO PROOF'', ''CHOKE'', ''7/8'', Crown over ''BP'', Crown over ''BV'', crown over ''NP'', crown over ''BNP'', Crown over ''R'', ''416 LC'' in Diamond, & more proof marks further up barrel. The left barrel is marked with all the same proof marks with, ''CHOKE'', ''405'', ''10.3'', receiver flats marked, Crown over ''BV'', crown over ''BNP''. Bores are excellent. Front bead on rib. Grooved hard rubber buttplate. LOP: 14 1/2'', DAC: 1 1/4'', DAH 1 3/4''. This shotgun was custom ordered to have the extra long 30'' barrels, both of which are modified choke.
