Army & Navy, Model: Hammerless. CAL: .410 MFG: 1904-25 S/N: 69341. Break action SxS. Imp Cyl/Full chokes. 26'' Barrels. The original checkered straight wrist stock is excellent, displaying very good finish, with light scratches, dings & scuffs. The forend has a professionally replaced 2'' sliver repair along the left edge & the finish has been touched up to match the original finish. The buttstock carries no buttplate, as it originally carried horizontal grooves cut directly into butt. There is a blank silver inscription medallion in belly of stock. The barrel metal finish rates 75%, with areas thinning above the forend. Receiver has worn to a smooth gun metal gray, with remnants of original blue protected areas. Left & Right sides of receiver is marked, ''ARMY & NAVY.CS.LTD'', Inside of receiver on the water table is marked with S/N, Crown over ''BV'' that's marked twice, Top of barrels on rib is marked, ''ARMY & NAVY C.S.LTD'', underside of barrels marked, ''500 GUNS INDIANAPOLIS IN'' & S/N. Bottom of left barrel is marked, ''405'', Crown over ''BV'', crown over ''BP'', crown over ''NP'', ''410 LC'' in diamond, ''NITRO PROOF'', ''CHOKE'', ''7/16'', & faint proof mark higher up on barrel, Bottom of right barrel is marked with all the same markings as left barrel except the ''CHOKE'' marking, inside of forend is marked with S/N. Bores are excellent, bright with little wear. Front silver bead. 13 1/2'' LOP, DAC 1 3/8'', 1 3/4'' DAH. These shotguns were made available for purchase to the officers of the English Army & Navy for their personal hunting needs. These little .410's are rare, especially in this condition, & thus have become very collectible. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 2500 to 4000
