Springfield armory. Model: 1898 Krag Sporterized. CAL: 30-40 Krag. MFG: 1901. S/N: 32703. Bolt action Rifle. 24'' barrel. The sporterized semi-pistol grip wood stock is very good. The pistol grip has been spliced into the stock & an extension added to buttend of stock. The original hole for rear sight in upper handguard has been fill inlaid. The trapdoor metal buttplate is proud to wood. The stock shows scratches, dents, dings & wear from use & age. There is a faint cartouche on left side of stock above trigger. The receiver's metal finish rates 20%, 50% on barrel. Left side of receiver is marked, ''U.S.'', ''MODEL 1898. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY.'', & S/N. Bore is very good, with one small light spot of roughness. Comes with a ''BOONE'' scope, which is slightly hazy with simple cross reticle. Also comes with leather sling. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
