Remington. Model: 03-A3. CAL. 30-06. MFG:1943. S/N: 3775651. Bolt action. 24'' Round barrel. The original straight wrist wooden stock is very good, with dings, scratches, nicks, & gouges from age & use. There are multiple cartouches on stock: left side above the trigger, ''RA'', ''FJA'', crossed cannon stamp. On the left side above rear sling swivel, ''RIA EB'' in box. There are two ''P'' in circle stamps on bottom behind trigger guard. In front of magazine, ''52'' in box, ''N'' in triangle, ''26'' in oval, ''18'' in circle. Last 4 numbers of S/N stamped into right side of stock. Barrel & receiver retain 90% of parkerized finish, with light wear & small spots of brown patina. Top of receiver is marked, ''U.S.'', ''REMINGTON'', ''MODEL 03-A3'', S/N. Bolt handle is marked ''3'' & last 4 digits of S/N electro penciled on. Top end of barrel is marked with ''R A'', Flaming bomb, ''6-43''. Bottom end of barrel is marked ''P''. Bore is excellent. Front sight is simple blade, rear sight is windage & elevation adjustable aperture marked 2 to 8. Military style trapdoor buttplate, worn gray & light brown patina. Action is tight & appears to function correctly. Sling & stacking loops. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2400
