Bolt action Rifle. 23'' round barrel, The Semi-Pistol grip wooden stock is Excellent, There are multiple cartouches on the stock, left side is marked ''S.A.R.'' in a box. Behind trigger guard is a ''P'' in circle. The barrel & receiver retain 99% of parkerized finish. Top front of receiver is marked ''U.S.'', ''SPRINGFIELD ARMORY'', ''CAL. .22 M2'', S/N. Left side of barrel is marked ''LONG RIFLE CART'GE ONLY''. Top of barrel is marked ''T''. Top of barrel at muzzle is marked, ''S A'', flaming bomb, ''4-42''. Barrel band is marked with ''U''. Bolt handle is marked ''NS'', ''M2''. Bolt body is marked 'M2'', ''D 28223-2''. Bore is excellent. Hooded blade front sight, with an original Lyman windage & elevation adjustable aperture rear sight, marked 0 to 125. Military style buttplate, with spots of rust. Comes with The George Lawrence CO. leather sling on factory sling loops. Action is tight & appears to function correctly. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
