Winchester. Model: M1 Garand. Cal: 30-06. MFG: 1943. S/N: 1375551. Semi-auto Rifle. 24'' round barrel. The semi-pistol grip wooden stock is very good & solid, with a professional stock repair at wrist. The stock has been sanded & nicely refinished, likely at the time of repair. There are normal dings, scratches & wear from age & use. Left side cartouches are, ''W.R.A GHD'' in box, crossed cannon stamp. Behind the trigger guard is a ''P'' inside circle. The barrel & receiver finish rates 90% with some light scratches & wear. Rear of receiver is marked, ''U.S. RIFLE'', ''CAL. .30M1'', ''WINCHESTER'', S/N & ''D 28291-2''. Bolt is marked ''D28287-I W.R.A.''. Barrel is marked with ''P'' in oval. OP rod stamped ''D35382- WRA'' slant cut. Type 3 Trigger guard stamped ''C46025WRA''. Type 3 Trigger housing stamped ''D28290-WRA''. Type 2 Hammer stamped ''C46008-1 WRA''. Type 4 Safety stamped ''C46015-4 WRA''. Bore is very good with light wear. Front blade sight, with protective wings. Rear windage & elevation adjustable aperture sight. Military style trapdoor buttplate, worn gray with spots of light rust & patina. Comes with 1917 leather sling on factory sling loops & stacking loop. Very nice looking Winchester example. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 3500
