Inland Mfg. Division, M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine, CAL: .30 Carbine, MFG: 1944, S/N: 5425923, Semi-Auto Rifle, 18'' Round Barrel. The wood grip, two rivet hand guard, marked ''OG'', high wood stock, 2nd series forestock marked ''IO'' right corner & 2nd series ''slim Jim'' wire skelton folding buttstock, with leather cheek rest, all are very good, displaying contusions & dings, with darkening from oils. The inside of the pistol grip has a ''P'' & the bottom of the grip has a ''Crossed Cannons'' orandance wheel & ''RI 3''. The military parkerized finish on the receiver rates 98%, with minor blemishes & the barrel rates 95%, with areas of discoloration. The back of the receiver is marked, ''INLAND DIV., S/N'', front top of receiver is marked, ''U.S.CARBINE'', ''CAL. 30M1'', top end of barrel marked, ''INLAND MFG. DIV.'', ''GENERAL MOTORS'', ''9-44'', ''P''. Bore is excellent. The barrel holds a blade front sight, with protective wings & a windage & elevation adjustable rear aperture sight, with graduations from 1 to 3. Buttstock carries a military style folding buttplate. Additonal information on this gun is as followed: Type III slide, Type III round bolt, Type III rear adj. sight fabricated, Type II barrel band, Type III straight hammer marked ''I-I'', Type II magazine. Inspection stamps flat on bottom of barrel. Comes with military green U.S marked canvas case, fitted with a correct green canvas sling & comes with two 15 Rd. Mags, one 10 Rd & oiler bottle, all marked, ''IA'', 10 Rd. mag has rubber top. A very nice condition Paratrooper M1 Carbine, a great addition to any military collection.
