Terni, Model M38 Carcano Sporterized, CAL: 7.35x51mm Carcano, MFG: 1939, S/N: K7548, Bolt Action Rifle, 20 1/4'' barrel. The sporterized straight grip wooden stock is very good, displaying a plug in rear sling swivel well, small chip in toe & other scratches, nicks & dings. The stock has a faint cartouche on left side right above plug on sling swivel well. The metal finish on receiver rates 60%, with areas toning to metal grey/ brown patina & the barrel rates 70% with spots of wear, brown patina & small spots of surface rust. The left side of receiver is marked with S/N, ''SA'' in box, ''13'', top of barrel is marked with crown over, ''RE'', ''TERNI'', right side of barrel is marked, ''1939 XVII'', top of rear sight is marked, ''CAL.7,35''. Bore is very good, bright with areas of roughness. The barrel holds a blade front sight, & fixed V into a U-notch rear sight. Buttstock carries a military trapdoor buttplate. The SA Mark on this rifle indicates that it was accepted & used by the Finnish military. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 300
