Kokura Arsenal. Model: Type 99. CAL: 7.7x58mm. MFG:1939-45. S/N:21823. Bolt Action Rifle. 25 1/2'' barrel. The semi-pistol grip wooden stock is good with no finish, gap between stock & upper handguard on both sides, small crack on upper handguard on right side of rear sight, wood is proud of buttplate at toe, scratches, dings. Gouges & wear from use/age, faint cartouche in right side of stock by buttplate, hand etched into left side of stock, ''M'', ''MAR'', ''K''. The metal finish rates 75% on barrel & receiver with grind marks, light wear marks & light surface rust spots, all other metal parts are worn with gray spots & brown patina. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N, Kokura Arsenal stamp, & proof marks, top front of receiver is marked with ground off chrysanthemum but some of it still remains, & type 99 in Japanese, Missed matched Bolt. Bore is fair. Bright but worn rifling especially near muzzle. Front barleycorn sight, rear ladder aperture sight marked 3 to 15, top 1/4 of rear sight has been cut off. Military buttplate with rust & brown patina, buttplate is loose. Side sling swivels. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 300
