Colt, Pocket Model of 1849, CAL: 31, MFG: 1866, SN: 287277, Single Action Percussion Revolver, 4'' Octagon barrel. The wood grips are very good, but with flaking & worn finish, contusions & light scrapes. The metal blue finish is a mix of remaining blue & added finish worn to metal grey & brown patina, with nicks, dings, spotting & pitting. The trigger guard & grip frame are brass, with an aged patina, displaying similar wear marks as the other metal surfaces. Bore is fair, but rough. The barrel has a worn, almost flat brass front bead, & the hammer has a small integrated groove that acts a ''rear sight'' when fully cocked. Action is tight & cylinder rotates correctly. This is the smaller brother of the more famous ''Colt's Revolving Belt Pistol of Naval Caliber''. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
