Description

Smith & Wesson, 2nd Model, 2nd Issue, CAL: 38, MFG: 1877-91, SN: 7270, Single Action Revolver, 3 1/4'' barrel. The mother of pearl grips are excellent, with a grain crack/peel & other minor scuffs. The nickel finish rates 70% overall, but with numerous rust spotting & speckling. Bore is fair, with roughness & pitting. The solid rib holds a half-moon front sight & a small fixed notch rear sight. This was S&Ws first double action .38 center fire revolver, which became popular with frontiersman & urban dwellers of the time. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 400 to 800
