Winchester, Model 1885 High Wall, CAL: 32-40, MFG: 1891, SN: 48262, Single Shot Lever Action Falling Block Rifle, 30'' Octagon #3 stamped barrel. The original straight grip wood stock & schnabel forend, with ebony inlay are very good & solid. The stocks appear to carry the original finish, with a thin added layer of protective finish. Stocks do display minor scratches, scrapes & contusions. The metal blue finish on barrel rates 85%, with thinning areas starting to tone slightly to a brown patina, The receiver is case-hardened, displaying faint tones of case-colors, more so in protected areas. Bore is very good, displaying some roughness amongst proud rifling. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & silver bladed front sight. Buttstock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Set trigger. Comes with Cody Winchester Factory Records Letter confirming configuration & dates. A nice example of an original 1885. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
