Winchester, Model 1885, CAL: 32 WCF, MFG: 1887, SN: 19079, Lever Action Falling Block Rifle, 24'' Octagon # ''1'' marked barrel. The original straight grip wood stock & schnabel forend, with ebony inlay are very good & solid. The forend has a quality repaired 2'' splice on the left side at the tip & a nicely repaired grain crack on the left rear corner. Stock appears to carry the original finish, while the forend has an added layer of finish over the original, likely done at the time of the repairs. Stocks do display other scratches, scrapes & contusions. There is an open hole in the belly of the stock from a removed sling swivel. The metal blue finish has worn to a thin brown patina, with some additionally applied color & patina. Bore is fair, dark & rough. The barrel holds a replaced adjustable rear sight & silver blade front sight. Buttstock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
