Winchester, Model 1886, 45-70 WCF, MFG: (Antique), SN: NVSN, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Round barrel, Full mag. The straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid. The stock appears to be a correct replacement having been sanded & refinished, while the original forend has been lightly sanded & has an added layer of finish over the original finish. The forend has several minor handling marks or scuffs. The metal on barrel & mag has mostly worn gun metal gray, with spotty areas of brown patina. The receiver appears to have been case-hardened, displaying some muted case-colors, but mostly gun metal gray & brown patina. The bolt carries a blue finish that appears hand applied with some light pitting. The barrel carries an adjustable rear & an elongated small blade front sight. Bore is very good. Buttstock carries solid rubber recoil pad. This antique rifle would be a good nostalgic big game hunting rifle. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
