Winchester, Model 1895 SRC, CAL: 30 US MOD 1906, MFG: 1912, SN: 78059, Lever Action Rifle, 22'' barrel. The replaced stock & refinished original finger groove forend are very good. The stock displays only minor handling marks to the factory finish & fantastic grain, while the forend displays contusions & scrapes. The metal blue finish has worn to a mix of gun metal gray, light brown patina & remnants of original blue. The saddle ring has been removed & lug filed down. The lever, upper & lower tangs sustained some previous damage & heat was used to try repair & restore original shape, also likely why stock was replaced. Bore is very good, slightly dark & grainy, with strong rifling. The trigger was also damaged & has been weld repaired. The receiver holds a climbing Lyman 21 aperture sight, with replaced mounting screw. The front barrel band is missing the retention screws. The barrel is tapped for a rear sight, with holes filled & a elevated blade front sight. Stock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Firing mechanism not functioning properly, the hammer drops or fires when you close the action. This gun needs to be repaired by a gunsmith before it is utilized & is being sold As-Is with no returns. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
