RARE & EXCELLENT Winchester, Model 65, marked 218 BEE, MFG: 1941, SN: 1007321, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, mag holds 7 rounds, This is one of the rarest & fewest made Winchester models of all models produced, with only 5,704 total rifles. The rifle was evolved from the model 58 & production started 1933 & ending in 1947, with the 218 Bee caliber added mid production in 1939. While .25-20 caliber rifles are the rarest, 218 Bee examples are in highest demand amongst collectors & command premium values. The original wood stocks on this example are excellent & solid, displaying nearly all the original finish with few tiny handling marks. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 98%, 95% on the receiver, with most wear loss on the belly of the receiver. The rifle carries the rare factory bolt receiver sight, with blank filled rear dovetail & hooded front sight, The factory checkered metal widow's peak buttplate retains 95% of the original blue. Excellent bore. A superb, all original condition, rare model 65 in the most desirable caliber. Definitely a collector's quality rifle.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 7500 to 9500
