Savage, Model 1899, CAL: 22 H.P, MFG: 1913, SN: 142129, Lever Action Rifle, 20'' barrel. The original straight grip wood stock & forend are very good & solid. There are two tightly repaired hairline cracks emanating from the toe & the finish on the stock was nicely restored & blended to match the original finish. There is some thinning of the finish, along with minor contusions & scrapes to the finish. The metal blue finish rates 85% overall. The lever still displayed case-coloring. Bore is excellent, with strong rifling. The receiver holds a Marbles flip-up tang mounted peep sight. The barrel holds a Savage standard adjustable rear sight & block elevated blade front sight. Round counter on left side of receiver. Stock carries a Savage grooved metal buttplate. A nice take-down 1899. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
