RARE Remington, Model 4 ''Cadet'', CAL: 22 S.L.LR, MFG: 1911-12, SN: NSN, 28'' Round barrel, Rolling block single shot rifle. The model 4 was made from 1890 to 1933 in several variation & evolutions. This case-colored, lever release take-down model 4 cadet proceeds the Military or Boy Scout models & was made only two years. This version is unmarked on the receiver, has the lever takedown & tapered forend. The wood stocks are excellent & solid. This model does not have the upper handguard atop the barrel or barrel band. The stocks have an added thin layer of finish over the original finish, with several small handling mark. There is a repaired tight 1'' hairline crack emanating from the end of the upper tang. The # ''402'' is stamped on the stock behind the trigger guard. The original metal blue finish on barrel rates 80%. The case-hardened receiver has strong case-colors remaining. Bore is good, with potting spots of roughness. Barrel carries an adjustable flip-up rear & standard front sights. The stock carries an ''S'' shaped Remington UMC metal buttplate. Sling swivels. A very nice & exceedingly rare cadet example. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
