J.C Higgins (Sears), Model 51L, CAL: 270 WIN, MFG: N/A, SN: 8650, Bolt Action Rifle, HVA Action (Sweden), 22 1/8'' barrel. The original checkered & capped pistol grip Monte Carlo style wood stock is very good & solid. The original finish is heavily flaking, primarily on the left side, & there are other small contusions & scrapes. The original metal blue finish rates 95% overall, with the finish on the receiver toning plum. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver carries a Bushnell scope on Weaver rings. The barrel holds a flip-up leaf rear sight & large blade front sight. Buttstock carries a White Line ventilated recoil pad. Sling studs. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 250 to 500
