Colt, AR-15 SP1, CAL: .223, MFG: 1982, SN: SP148372, Semi Auto Rifle, 21'' barrel. The SP1 was Colts first commercial semi-auto version of the Military M-16, with distinctive triangular handguards. The synthetic fixed buttstock & forend are very good, displaying minor handling marks & scuffs. The metal surfaces have sprayed on black finish, with 70% coverage. The metal displays several areas of cleaned pitting, several nick & abrasions under the refinish, along with additional wear after the refinish. Bore is excellent & bright, with clean rifling. Rifle carries the A1 sights. Carries the pre-ban flash hider & bayonet lug. Buttstock carries a black plastic buttplate, with integral checkered metal trap-door for cleaning kit. An early Pre-ban Colt AR-15. FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
