RARE Winchester, Model 1906 Expert, 1/2 Nickeled, .22 S. L. LR., MFG: 1919, SN: 549146, Pump Action Rifle, 20'' Round barrel, Expert models are similar to the standard 1906 models, but with pistol grip & a hour-glass smooth forearm. Approximately 70,000 Experts were made from 1917-25, but only a small percentage were nickeled. The original gum wood stock are very good, with the original finish displaying several minor scratches, rubs & minor contusions. The original metal blue finish on the barrel & mag has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin layer of brown patina & some original blue remaining in protected areas. The receiver carries the original special ordered nickeled finish. Bore is very good. Fitted with standard barrel sights. Winchester plastic buttplate. A fairly rare & collectible original condition rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
