RARE Winchester, Model 1906 1/2 Nickeled GALLERY, .22 SHORT, MFG: 1906, SN: 18880, Pump Action Rifle, 20'' Round barrel, While nearly 700,000 Model 1906 rifles were produced, only a small percentage were nickeled & chambered in .22 Short only. The original gum wood stock are very good, with the original finish displaying numerous minor scratches, rubs & minor contusions. The metal blue finish on the barrel & mag has toned to a gray/brown tone, with approximately 70% coverage. The receiver carries the original special ordered nickeled finish with light speckling & edge flaking. Bore is excellent. Fitted with standard barrel sights. Mag tube has the rare wide cut short caliber feeding slot meant for quick loading in shooting galleries. Winchester plastic buttplate.
