Winchester Model 02 or 1902, CAL: .22 SHORT, LONG or EXTRA LONG, MFG: 1914-27, SN: None, Bolt Action Single Shot Rifle, 18'' round barrel. Although the model began production in 1902, the extra long caliber wasn't added until 1914, but this is still an earlier variation before the 02A later variation, which replaced Extra Long with Long Rifle. The original straight grip wood stock is excellent, having the original finish which is starting to thin & flake, particularly on the lower portion of the buttstock. There other contusions, scrapes & a couple of larger scratches on the right side of the stock. The stock still has a very nice overall appearance. The metal blue finish has thinned to 70% coverage. Bore is excellent. The barrel is fitted with a fixed rear & small blade front sights. Buttstock carries original Winchester buttplate, with engraved screw heads. ''S'' shaped triggerguard.
