O.F. Mossberg & Sons IMC, Model 44 U.S. Target Rifle, ''U.S. PROPERTY'' marked, CAL: 22 L.R, MFG: 1943-44, SN: 155343, Bolt Action Rifle, 26 1/4'' Round barrel. U.S. PROPERTY stamped on barrel & receiver. These rifle were utilized by all branches of the military for target training. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is very good & solid. It carries an added layer of finish over the original finish, displaying areas of thinned finish, scrapes, scratches, minor nicks & dings. The pistol grip has a plastic finger grip & trigger guard. The metal blue finish rates 80% overall, but with some speckling & haze. Bore is excellent. The receiver has open provisions where the receiver peep sight once occupied & the barrels holds a small blade front sight. Buttstock carries a metal buttplate, a forend bipod &sling loops, with a cloth sling. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 200 to 400
