Lapage Liege, Boxlock, CAL: 20 GA, MFG: N/A, SN: 36360, Break Action SxS Shotgun, 27 1/2'' barrels. The top of the barrels are marked ''EPREUVE OFFICIELLE POUR POURDE SANS FUMEE'' which translates to ''official proof for smokeless powder''. Below the wording, in a circle, reads ''FLUSS STAHL FRIED KRUPP ESSEN'' & below that in gold lettering reads ''Lepage Liege''. There's a variety of Belgian & French proof marks on the water table. The checkered straight grip wood stock & forend are good, with added oils & finish. They display several minor contusions, scrapes & dings, along with a larger edge chip to the left side of the forend. The restored metal finish on the barrels rates 90% overall, beginning to tone a bit to a brown patina. The case-hardened receiver has fully toned gray, with very faint case-colored tones remaining in protected areas. The full receiver, trigger guard, hammers, break lever & forend metal components are all beautifully hand engraved with intricate ornamental scroll work. Bores are good, with intermittent spotting & pitting. The solid rib holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a metal heel & toe cover. Sling loops present. A well made Belgian Boxlock shotgun.
