RARE James & Co., Hammer Double, RARE 11 GA, MFG: 1880-89, SN: 12877, Side Lever Break Action SxS Shotgun, 31 7/8'' barrel. The checkered round knob wood stock & forend are good, displaying multiple contusions, scratches & scrapes. The bottom comb has a blank silver shield inscription plate. The metal finish has toned to a mix of metal gray & brown patina on the barrels & receiver. The receiver, hammers, break lever & trigger guard all display simple ornamental scroll engraving. Bores are good, but with roughness throughout. The solid rib holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a smooth metal buttplate. Double triggers. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 500
