PRESENTATION Browning FN Model A-5, CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1926 (Belgium), SN: 81956, Semi-Auto Shotgun, Choke: Full, 2 3/4'', 31 1/2'' Matted solid rib barrel. This shotgun carries an inlayed silver inscription medallion on the left side of the stock, which is engraved ''PRESENTED ->TO<- R.G. STINSON IN APPRECIATION --> BY HIS <-- WALLA WALLA ->GANG<- 10-31-26''. This is an early Pre-WWII shotgun with the plain receiver that does not exhibits the later chevron engravings. The original checkered & round pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, with excellent original finish displaying very few tiny handling marks. There is a tight 1'' hairline grain crack on the right side of the stock at the buttend. The original metal blue finish rates 98% overall. Receiver carries the Fabrique Nationale Address stamping on the left side of receiver. Barrel rib stamped ''BROWNING ARMS COMPANY OGDEN UTAH'' & ''FULL 12 SPECIAL STEEL'' on left & ''MADE IN BELGIUM'' on the right. FN production stampings are on the barrel, receiver & bolt. Bore is excellent. The rib holds a single front silver bead. Buttstock carries the original FN BROWNING AUTOMATIC buttplate. Matching SN'd screws on sides of receiver. LOP: 14 1/23''. An overall excellent presentation Pre-war gun & very collectible as an all original, solid ribbed example. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2000
