The straight wrist wood stock is good with scratches/cracks/chips/dents/grain cracks/pieces missing & wear from use & age, Darkening from oil/age, Marked on right side rear of stock ''OLD MODEL FRENCH CHARLEVILLE MUSKET, TYPE FURNISHED TO THE AMERICAN INFANTRY BY LA FAYETTE DURING THE REVOLUTION'', brass decoration piece at top of wrist. All metal parts toned to a even brown patina, rust & pitting. Lock plate is marked ''1754'', ''US'', unknown marking. Bore is poor, dark with rust & pitting. Blade front sight on front barrel band. Brass engraved buttplate that's worn. Bottom sling swivels, comes with ram rod. Lock does not function properly. A rare & old piece that is still in good shape for its age, a great opportunity to own a rifle that helped make this country. Muzzleloader No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 1000
