Springfield Armory. Model: 1899. Cal: 30-40 Krag. MFG: 1901. S/N: 349765. Bolt action Rifle. 22 1/2'' Barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is good with stock repair on left side above rear sling swivel, stock has been cut down & cleaning rod hole plugged, scratches, dings & wear from use/age, faint ''P'' in circle cartouche on bottom of stock on wrist. The Barrel appears to have been Re-blued & rates 95% with cleaned pitting with blue inside, The metal finish on receiver has worn to a brown patina & gun metal gray with small spots of rust. Left side of receiver is marked ''U.S.'', ''MODEL 1899'', ''SPRINGFIELD ARMORY'', S/N. Bore is very good with spots of light roughness. Blade Front sight, U-notch Tangent & ladder rear sight, ladder marked 7 to 18, sight base is marked 3 to 6. Metal trapdoor buttplate, worn gray with spots of cleaned pitting. Bottom sling swivels. This rifle appears to have a full length rifle stock that has been cut down. FFL Or C&R Req. - Value: 150 to 300
