Remington. Model: 1917. Cal: 30-06. MFG: 1918. S/N: 255560. Bolt action Rifle. 26'' Barrel. The semi Pistol grip wooden stock is very good with scratches/dents/dings/oil darkening & wear from use/age, ''P'' cartouche on bottom of stock at wrist, ''AAQ'' on left side under rear sight. The metal finish rates 90% overall with spots of light wear. Top of receiver is marked ''U.S.'', ''MODEL OF 1917'', ''REMINGTON'' & S/N, end of barrel is marked ''HS'', flaming bomb, ''P''. Bore is very good, bright with light roughness. Blade Front sight with protective wings, aperture ladder rear sight marked 2 to 16. Metal trapdoor buttplate, worn finish & rust speckles. Comes with period leather sling. A nice example of a US WW1 Rifle. FFL Or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
