Erfurt. Model: Kar 88. 7.92x57mm. MFG: 1893. S/N: 4162g. Bolt action Rifle. 17 1/2'' Barrel, has been cut and inside of barrel jacket is exposed. The straight wrist wood stock is very good, stock has been cut down, stock has scratches/chips/dents/gouges & wear from use/age. The metal finish rates 60% overall with spots worn to a gun metal gray & brown patina. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N, ''KAR.88'', ''N.M'', top of receiver is marked with Crown, ''S'', ''ERFURT'', ''1893'', & other proof marks, left side of barrel is marked with S/N, Bolt is S/N Matched. Bore is good, roughness throughout with proud rifling. Missing front sight, V-notch ladder rear sight with flip up sight, ladder is marked 5 to 12. Metal buttplate with cleaned pitting & brown patina. Left side sling mounts, comes with leather sling. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 100 to 300
